Festival guest: Joe Dunthorne

Did you see the film Submarine when it was out in Spring? The one with the kid growing up in Wales, directed by Richard Ayoade (i.e., Moss from The IT Crowd) and soundtracked by Alex Turner from The Arctic Monkeys? Well, Joe Dunthorne wrote the book it was based on.

Also a poet as well as a novelist, Joe is a member of the ‘poetry boyband’ Aisle 16 – if you can get to Bethnal Green on the last Wednesday of each month, we thoroughly recommend their Homework night. Joe will be joining us to chat about Submarine and his new book, Wild Abandon, which is out at the start of August.
